Eye drops are routinely used for four to six weeks after surgery to treat inflammation and prevent infection. Restrictions are minimal. No bending or heavy lifting for 48 hours and do not rub the eye. Heavy activity such as golfing, bowling and swimming are to be avoided for two weeks. Moderate exertion not involving jumping or jogging can be resumed after three days.
