Reem Z. Renno, MD has been on staff at 1960 Eye Surgeons since 2005. Dr. Renno completed her residency in Ophthalmology at the prestigious Jules Stein Eye Institute/ UCLA with a focus on oculo-plastic, thyroid eye diseases and reconstructive orbital surgeries. Prior to that she had completed a medical research fellowship in Medical retina in Boston at the Massachusetts Eye & Ear Infirmary/Harvard Medical School with a focus on Age-related Macular Degeneration and Diabetic Retinopathy. Dr. Renno has received many honors and awards (Alpha omega Alpha, Fight-For-Sight, Retina Research Foundation, Macula Society and Foundation Fighting Blindness Fellowships). She has authored articles in peer-reviewed journals, wrote many book chapters and delivered talks nationally and internationally. Dr. Renno is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. The Consumer’s research council of America lists her as one of America’s Top Ophthalmologists.
