Thomas Markus, OD

Dr. Markus is an optometric glaucoma specialist who has been in private practice for over 20 years. His practice focuses on the treatment of glaucoma, dry eyes, the management of post-operative patients, and the fitting of contact lenses. He enjoys providing full scope optometric care by integrating the latest technical advancements into his practice. Another large part of his practice includes performing annual eye examinations and treating eye diseases.

A native Canadian, Dr. Markus received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada. He then earned his doctorate degree in optometry from the University of Houston College of Optometry. He completed cataract and refractive surgery externships at St. Luke’s Cataract and Refractive Institute in Florida and the Houston Eye Clinic.

Dr. Markus has served as Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Houston College of Optometry and on the Executive Council of the Harris County Optometric Society. He is listed as one of America’s Top Optometrists by the Consumer’s Research Council of America.

Dr. Markus enjoys traveling with his wife, exercising and spending time with family and friends.
