Dr. Markus is an optometric glaucoma specialist who has been in private practice for over 19 years. She provides comprehensive eye examinations including the management of diabetic and glaucoma patients. In addition, Dr. Markus provides post-operative care, fits contact lenses and treats a wide range of ocular diseases. She enjoys being a part of a multi-disciplinary team here at 1960 Eye Surgeons and having access to the latest in eye care technology.

Born here in Houston, Dr. Markus received her bachelor’s degree from the Unversity of Houston and her doctorate degree in optometry from the University of Houston College of Optometry. She completed an externship focused on the treatment of Glaucoma with a glaucoma specialist, Dr. Robert Stewart, at Houston Eye Associates. She completed another externship focused on refractive surgery and diseases of the eye with a corneal specialist, Dr. Mary Green, at Eye Excellence, also here in Houston.
